Working with an Interior Designer

An Interior Designer ASID Professional is trained in space planning and has the knowledge to collaborate with architects and contractors. An interior designer can renovate a kitchen, design built-in shelving, remove walls, etc. In 18 states, interior designers must pass a strict exam and be licensed. Many are members of professional organizations such as the American Association of Interior Designers (ASID) and the International Society of Interior Designers (ISID).
